Job Description

The Tool Room Attendant is responsible for issuing and caring for all tooling used in the compression of the product.  Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning, buffing/polishing, measuring and storing of all tooling
  • Recording the number of hits produced on a set of tooling
  • Visually inspecting each piece of tooling for defects
  • Operating a tablet press machine, if needed
  • Detooling, cleaning and retooling the tablet presses

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions
  • Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc. within a manufacturing environment
