Job Description
As a Supply Planning Strategist you would lead improvements in the Supply Chain approach for Nestlé Health Science, with a specific focus on managing the Strategic Volume Planning (SVoP) process for the US territory:
- Managing the Long Term Demand Planning (LTDP) collection process, incl. consolidation, validation, master data maintenance, etc.
- Managing the Long Term Supply Planning (LTSP) calculation process, incl. close collaboration with the factories, validation, master data maintenance etc.
- Managing long term Capacity Planning and Sourcing Changes
- Contributing to the Annual Strategic Planning Workshop
- Leading improvements in Supply Planning Optimization
- Leading changes to the Supply Chain approach to improve performance
- Developing and implementing new approaches to improve performance
- Leading improvements in many different areas of Supply Chain, including D&SP, WC Management, NCE, Materials Management, Factory SC, Globe, Portfolio Optimization
- Developing and managing the Global Strategic Demand & Supply Plan
- Developing a new system and approach for strategic D&SP
- Consolidating and maintaining the 5 year Long Term Demand Plan
- Implementing a global capacity planning model, covering the 18 month horizon and extrapolated to a 5 year capacity view
- Aligning with key stakeholders in Technical and Production, and Regional Supply Chain and Manufacturing on factory capabilities and resulting capacity
- Developing and maintaining a database of all sourcing requests/decisions, major new launches, discontinuations, etc. that closely link to the capacity planning
- Driving a comprehensive program of improvements to optimize Working Capital
- Leading the improvement actions
- Working with Marketing, Finance, Factories, Quality, and other functions to challenge and drive improvements in each area impacting WC – release times, production frequency, shut-downs, etc.
- Lead improvements to all areas of SC including Materials Management, Supply Planning optimization, Shutdown management, Bad Goods reduction
- Lead or support ad-hoc projects and studies such as industrial structure review, end-to-end supply chain reviews, optimization projects
