Job Description

The Senior Information Security Engineer provides technical leadership for development, planning and implementation of a variety of global platforms including Proxy Servers, VPN, Firewalls, and User Behavior Analytics.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the management of Active Directory/Azure Active Directory Security including federation, SSO, and security policies related to MFA, SSPR, conditional access, and other Office365 security technologies.
  • Participating as a key member for security incident response activities.
  • Aligning with NIST Cybersecurity framework, lead projects related to enhancing endpoint and network security including the implementation of least privilege and zero trust concepts.
  • Working in conjunction with the technical support teams to troubleshoot Information Security owned technologies.
  • Communicating and helping enforce information security policies, standards and guidelines for consistency and conformity across all environments.
  • Leading efforts on the hardening of Servers/Workstations, Load Balancers, WAF’s, and firewalls,
  • Partnering with cross-functional security and global technology teams to ensure platform goals and security solutions are aligned with business strategy and needs.
  • Participating as a key member for security incident response activities. 
  • Providing security feedback to E-Commerce DevOps team by assisting in protecting against threats.
  • Ensuring documentation for managed services are detailed, and regularly reviewed for accuracy,
  • Mentoring other Security team members.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in information security.
  • Must have experience implementing and/or managing various information security tools and systems including: Firewalls, Internet Proxies, IPS/IDS, SIEM, VPN, EDR, EUBA.
  • Experience with Identity and access management controls, tools, and frameworks.
  • Understanding of security control frameworks.
  • Troubleshooting network and endpoint issues, utilizing windows event management, Wireshark, Sysinternals tools.
  • Experience writing PowerShell scripts.
  • Familiarity with Azure Sentinel a plus.
  • Risk/Vulnerability management through remediation.
  • Security+, Network+ or other industry related certifications preferred.
  • Ability to respond and remediate both critical and non-critical incidents.
  • Ability to apply skills of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and tasks.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply process improvement principles.
  • Ability to foster effectiveness during changes in tasks, work environment or conditions affecting the organization.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
