Job Description

The Scientist, Global Analytical Services, will focus on supporting the development and implementation of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to deploy to manufacturing laboratories to meet global business objectives. The incumbent will perform test method entry into LIMS to establish proper settings for operation. This position will also involve supporting master data entry into quality system and LIMS as well as establishing user requirements into LIMS playing a role as a super user of quality system and LIMS.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Support development and implementation of LIMS to deploy to factory laboratories in network to manage and use for raw materials and finished products testing under cGMP environment.
  • Identify and enter applicable test methods into LIMS to establish proper settings in lab environment.
  • Support master data entry into LIMS and quality system.
  • Support establishing proper user requirements in LIMS.
  • Play a role as a super user and subject matter expert of LIMS.
  • Accurately records data and results in a timely manner and in compliance with appropriate quality standards. As needed, reviews and provides comment on data, protocols and reports.
  • Follows, understands and complies with all SOP and policies on cGMP, GLP and safety

Job Requirements

  • Experience in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) implementation and operation in a lab environment.
  • Technical expertise in analytical methods using UPLC, HPLC, GC, ICP, mass spec, and other routine analytical techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Empower and other instrument software, analytical techniques and their applications to complex analytical and dietary/botanical chemistry problems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as 21 CFR 111 that affect the dietary supplement manufacturing business.
  • B.S in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry or related fields with at least 3-5 years of experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and set priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented Analytical R&D environment.
  • Skills in experimental design, data collection, and problem solving.
  • Understanding of the scientific principles associated with the analysis of dietary supplement products.
  • Effective writing and communication skills.
